About Us
The Book & Cover Founders: Emily Lilley (and Bertie), Sarah Jackson, & Blaes Green
The dream of opening a bookshop began for Blaes, Emily and Sarah as young readers, and was certainly accelerated after seeing You’ve Got Mail in 1998 and falling in love with Kathleen Kelly’s Shop Around the Corner.
It was November 2020 on the front porch of Blaes’ home when they expressed that dream to each other. Buoyed and propelled by some key initial backers, and a successful IndieGoGo crowdfund campaign of community backers, The Book & Cover opened in November of 2021.
The focus of the shop is to create a place where folks can read books and stay curious.
